Hydrogen fuel cell and electrolyser technology firm Ceres has been named as the winner of the Royal Academy of Engineering MacRobert Award.
The MacRobert Award, named in honour of Lady Rachel MacRobert, recognises outstanding innovation, tangible societal benefit and proven commercial success, with past winners including JCB and Jaguar Land Rover.
Having received the award for its solid oxide technology, hailed by judges as a huge breakthrough in the clean energy revolution, alongside the flexibility of its fuel cells, Ceres comes among the first climate-related companies to have been recognised.
