CMB.TECH and DBR develop dual fuel hydrogen genset for marine applications

CMB.TECH and DBR have collaborated to build the ‘first’ marine dual fuel hydrogen gensets to accelerate the decarbonisation of the maritime industry.

DRB will provide its expertise in reliable energy solutions for marine and offshore applications, being responsible for the construction and delivery of the dual fuel hydrogen gensets.

The core of the genset is formed by the MAN V12-24I engine – used in previous CMB.TECH and Man Engines collaborations – boasting a maximum output of 940kVa, operating on diesel or in dual fuel mode and could achieve emission savings of up to 83%.
