Ecopetrol has chosen six companies to develop a company hydrogen strategy as it looks to reduce its carbon-emissions by 2050.
The Colombian firm announced on Monday (May 23), that it had selected Total Eren, EDF, Siemens Energy, H2B2, Empati, and Mitsui, as strategic allies to advance its ‘Strategic Plan of Low-Carbon Hydrogen’.
The plan sets targets for Ectropetrol to produce one million tonnes of low-carbon hydrogen per year, by 2040, with the company estimating annual investments of $140m.
