Cummins takes full ownership of Hydrogenics – buys out Air Liquide’s 19% stake

Cummins has assumed the full ownership of Hydrogenics Corporation after buying out Air Liquide’s 19% interest in the company, adding key fuel cell and electrolyser technologies to its portfolio.

Founded in 1995, the Canadian-based company developed and manufactured PEM electrolyser for hydrogen production, as well as PEM fuel cell products.

In 2019, Cummins closed it acquisition to take 81% ownership of the company to accelerate its ability to innovate and scale hydrogen technologies across a range of commercial markets, with the support of Air Liquide.
