‘Disappointing’ Q2 2023 for Cell Impact following cost reduction announcement

Swedish hydrogen fuel cell bipolar flow plate manufacturer Cell Impact has reported net sales of SEK 17.2m ($1.6m) in Q2 2023, while its losses grew to SEK 27.1m ($2.5m).

Describing its Q2 results as “disappointing and contrary to previously expected development,” Cell Impact’s net sales fell from SEK 20.4m ($1.8m), while its EBITDA grew to SEK -27.1m (-$2.5m) from SEK -21.8m (-$1.99m).

The company said before Q2 it received indications of delays involving orders, and in July (2023), announced a cost reduction programme to lower levels of flow plate production.
