DNV deploys new guidelines for hydrogen and ammonia attribute claims

DNV has released its new service specification DNV-SE-0654 designed to validate low-carbon and renewable hydrogen and ammonia attribute claims.

The new service will enable hydrogen producers to document and demonstrate compliance with applicable standards to ensure the credibility and transparency of their claims, allowing for the validation of their systems based on specific characteristics, such as the requirement to keep greenhouse gas emissions below a predetermined limit.

DNV-SE-0654 will also encompass advisory, verification and validation services to cover diverse pathways of hydrogen production and associated ammonia production linked to the hydrogen pathways.
