When compared to existing polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC), the 10kW SOFC has a 40% higher power generation efficiency whilst also be capable of saving about 50% of space.

This means the SOFC can be installed in a range of buildings and will not take up vast amounts of room.

Kim Deok-hyun, BU Manager of Doosan Corporation Fuel Cell Power said, “As a result of internal testing, we can confidently say that the power generation efficiency of this product is the highest in the world.

“We will lead the fuel cell market for building owners and houses through SOFC products.”
