Egypt to bolster its hydrogen ecosystem with new production facilities for international exports

Egypt is set to bolster its hydrogen ecosystem with Scatec revealing a new green hydrogen and ammonia production facility that will be exported to lucrative international markets.

With the aligning of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), a study will be conducted that will look to implement hydrogen production facilities within the key trade route and provide Egypt with a basis to export hydrogen aboard.
