Hydrogen will play a central role in a new partnership agreement by the European Commission, European Investment Bank (EIB), and Bill Gates’ Breakthrough Energy.
The main role of the agreement is to advance partnerships on climate technologies with hydrogen identified as one of the key pillars to progress to a clean energy world.

Formalised with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), the partnership will mobilise up to €820m ($1bn) between 2022 and 2026 to deployment technologies to contribute to the European Green Deal ambitions and the EU’s 2030 climate targets.
