First kilogrammes of hydrogen produced at RWE’s Lingen plant

RWE has announced the first kilogrammes of hydrogen were produced for the first time at its gas-fired power plant in Emsland, Germany.

The GET H2 TransHyDE joint project based in Lingen has reached an important milestone, with the hydrogen produced via a high-temperature solid oxide electrolyser (SOEC) from Sunfire, boasting an output of 250kW and capable of providing 170kg of hydrogen per day.
