Foton hydrogen buses to take to South Australian roads

Two hydrogen-powered buses are set to take to the roads of South Australia, which the transport operator estimates could provide over 80,000 customer journeys in the next 12 months.

The Foton Mobility Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses (FTH12s) will operate from Torrens Transit’s Morphettville depot in Adelaide, adding to Transit Systems’ fleet of sustainable transport solutions which already boasts 60 electric buses.

Green hydrogen for the buses will be supplied from Hydrogen Park South Australia – a collaboration between the South Australia Government and Australian Gas Infrastructure Group which blends green hydrogen into the local gas network.
