Gebrüder Weiss utilises hydrogen truck to get solar car on the road

Gebrüder Weiss has used its hydrogen truck to transport the company’s eCentauri innovative solar car to the Australian World Solar Challenge.

The challenge requires participants to cover 3,000km of the Australian outback, from Darwin to Adelaide, using only solar power, with eCentauri one of the 31 teams in the ‘Challenger’ category.

The vehicle utilised a comprehensive logistics solution comprising land transport, sea and air freight, with the experts ensuring that the vehicle developed by the students at ETH Zurich can be in the starting line in Darwin on time, the event scheduled to take place October 22 – 29, 2023.
