HIF Global’s Cabo Negro eFuels facility awaits environmental permit

HIF Global has announced it has submitted an environmental permit for its Cabo Negro, hydrogen-based eFuels facility in Chile.

The facility will be powered by renewable energy and create an expected 173,600 tonnes a year of eMethanol will be produced, to be converted totally or partially to e-LG and e-gasoline.

e-gasoline is produced via combining green hydrogen and biogenic carbon dioxide (CO2), while e-LG is produced during the conversion of e-methanol to e-gasoline.
