HTEC expands HRS network in Canada

HTEC recently marked its entry into British Columbia (BC)’s Interior with the opening of its fifth Canadian retail hydrogen station.

In partnership with 7-Eleven Canada, HTEC’s station is located at 1901 Harvey Avenue near BC-97 & Spall Rd, in Kelowna. 

HTEC designed, built, owns, and operates Canada’s first hydrogen refueling station network, and the Kelowna station joins a network of four existing stations in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island. This is HTEC’s first station to be located in a dedicated and distinctly identifiable hydrogen fuelling space at a 7-Eleven Canada site. 

Natural Resources Canada has provided funding to help build the station through its Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative, which aims to support the establishment of hydrogen stations in major metropolitan areas.
