Hyzon Motors to close European hydrogen truck factory

US hydrogen fuel cell and truck firm Hyzon Motors will close its European truck factory in the Netherlands, less than a year after it took full ownership of its EU outfit.

Hyzon said it has, “Been evaluating its global operations, and transitioning its international regions to the third-party assembly model operated in the US. As a result of these strategic initiatives, we are shifting our European operations and will share updates when available.”

Reports from some outlets had suggested the site in Winschoten would be used by the company as an “innovation centre.” Hyzon has told H2 View, “The company has not said this, and plans are not finalised.”
