Japan’s ENEOS to cooperate with HIF Global on green hydrogen-based e-fuels

HIF Global has announced a cooperation with Japanese petroleum refiner ENEOS for the supply of green hydrogen-based e-fuels.

The agreement will focus on the supply of e-fuels from HIF’s project portfolio to ENEOS as the energy major looks to reduce its emissions.

Produced using electrolytic hydrogen combined with recycled carbon dioxide (CO2), HIF says its e-fuels are “chemically equivalent” to existing fossil fuels and can be dropped into existing engines without any modifications.
