Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) and Boeing are joining forces to develop the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) sector in the UAE and globally.
Under an MOU, both companies aim to support the commercial aviation industry’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
It was signed by Mohammad Abdelqader El Ramahi, Chief Green Hydrogen Officer, Masdar, and Kuljit Ghata-Aura, President, Middle East, Turkey & Africa, Boeing, during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2023.
The companies will also explore advancing SAF accounting principles, which could enable the SAF industry to overcome geographical barriers as it scales.
