Renewable Innovations recieves order for hydrogen-powered UPS system in New Zealand

US-based Renewable Innovations on Thursday (June 22) revealed it had received an order for a hydrogen fuel cell-powered uninterruptible power system (UPS) from a New Zealand state-owned company.

Coming as the company’s first order from a player in the Oceanian country, Renewable Innovations say its EmPower™ hydrogen power system will immediately go into production for delivery to a semi-remote location for acceptance testing.

Although the order dictates for just one system, the company has said that once the first unit is tested and accepted, the project will be expanded which could result in deliveries of another 100 systems to sites across New Zealand which could represent to over $30m in revenue.
