Engineering consultancy company Ricardo has officially opened its hydrogen test facility at its headquarters in Shoreham-by-Sea in the UK.
The facility has been designed to leverage and extend Ricardo’s expertise in zero emissions mobility solutions and form part of a global centre of excellence for hydrogen, defossilised fuels and electrified transport engineering.
Delivering modern test and advanced development capabilities in both alternative fuels and electric vehicles, the facility will significantly increase the range of hydrogen and fuel cell services and solutions delivered to Ricardo’s global customers.
Matt Beasley, President of Established Mobility at Ricardo, said the Shoreham Technical Centre enables it to offer a one-stop-shop for customers: from design and development, right through to the testing and integration of alternative fuel technologies, such as hydrogen, to support future production planning.
