RVK set to deploy a further 18 Solaris hydrogen buses in Cologne

Solaris has received a third order for its hydrogen-powered buses from Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK) to deploy in Cologne, Germany.

Already boasting 35 Solaris buses, RVK will add another 18 fuel cell vehicles which are set to operate on RVK’s lines with deliveries expected in the second half of 2024.

The Urbino 18 hydrogen models are equipped with a 100kW fuel cell set, utilise more than 50kg of hydrogen gas stored in eight tanks on the vehicles roof, and have a guaranteed range of 350km suitable for various weather and terrain conditions.
