Sapphire Technologies natural gas and hydrogen turboexpanders attracts $10m Series B

US-based developer and manufacturer for hydrogen and natural gas recovery systems Sapphire Technologies has secured $10m in Series B funding.

Led by Energy Capital Ventures, with participation from Marathon Petroleum, Chevron Technology Ventures, Equinor Ventures and Copper and Company, the Series B raise will be used to accelerate Saphire’s FreeSpin® In-line Turboexpander.

According to Sapphire, targeted projections show the turboexpander’s production will increase by 400% by the end of the year (2023).
