Second aircraft acquired to support US hydrogen-electric certification

In another step towards zero-emission air travel, ZeroAvia has today (May 6) received its second Dornier 228 aircraft that will be retrofitted with a hybrid hydrogen-electric powertrain and conventional engine.

Delivered to the company’s headquarters in Hollister, California, the aircraft marks the firm’s next stage of the HyFlyer II project, through which ZeroAvia is making hydrogen-powered aircraft a reality in both the US and the UK
