Shell is launching a hydrogen pay-per-use service for heavy duty FCEV trucks in Germany from this month.
Writing on LinkedIn, Shell Low Carbon Solutions said the service will help customers transition their fleet with reduced investment, risk and complexity for an undisclosed monthly fee.
Customers can access a 15-tonne Mercedes-Benz AG Atego fuel cell vehicle with fully comprehensive insurance, maintenance support and 15-minute refuelling times.
The transition to zero emission vehicles will disrupt the entire trucking value chain with new players, partnerships, and products expected.
