Solaris agrees to deploy hydrogen-powered Urbino 12 buses in Krefeld

Solaris has announced it will supply German-based public transport operator SWK Mobil Krefeld with 10 Urbino 12 hydrogen-powered buses.

The zero-emission vehicles will be deployed in the city of Krefeld by May, 2025, with the first three being delivered by the end of 2024 and the remaining seven in 2025.

Each Urbino 12 vehicle will be equipped with a central electric motor with a power output of 160kW, powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and featuring Solaris High Power batteries serving as additional electric energy storage.
