Ballard Power Systems has announced an order of more than 170 fuel cell engines from Solaris Bus & Coach.
Under multiple undisclosed purchase orders totalling 177 engines, Ballard and Solaris are aiming to deploy the hydrogen city buses across Europe.
127 of the Solaris fuel cell engines will be deployed in Bologna, Italy, to support the fleet of the buses there, whilst a further 50 modules will be delivered to Germany and Italy.
