Wärtsilä selected to undertake FEED study on hydrogen to LSM project

Wärtsilä has announced it will provide the front-end engineering design (FEED) for the liquefaction and storage of liquefied synthetic methane (LSM) for a hydrogen plant.

The plant project will be built by Koppö Energia Oy, in a joint venture (JV) between German-based Prime Green Energy Infrastructure Fund and CPC Finland Oy in Kristinestad, Finland.

The Power-to-X plant will have a capacity of 200MW and will convert green electricity into hydrogen and sustainable LSM, with up to 500MW of wind and 100MW of photovoltaic power also deployed to supply the plant with zero-emission renewable energy.
