Wilo reveals off-grid green hydrogen microgrid system: H2Powerplant

Wilo has revealed its new hydrogen microgrid system, the H2Powerplant, integrating electrolysis, storage and fuel cells to offer decentralised clean power.

The German company has had the system in operation at its headquarters, the Wilopark in Dortmund, and will now roll it out to all of its locations, while making it available to market in a modular arrangement for varying power demands.

Set to go to market in four different sizes that will generate power for the annual demand for either three, five or 20 households, the system uses electrolysis to convert renewable energy into green hydrogen.
