‘World’s second largest hydroelectric facility’ in Paraguay to harness 50% of 14GW power output for green hydrogen

The “world’s second largest hydroelectric facility” in Paraguay, with a total peak capacity of 14GW, will explore a pilot project to produce green hydrogen from 50% of the power output according to NeoGreen Hydrogen today (Feb 15).

This could be a major development not only for the global hydrogen value chain but also Paraguay zero-emissions capabilities with a significant production project capable of turning the nation into a green hydrogen powerhouse.
