ZeroAvia, Masdar to explore hydrogen production for clean flights

ZeroAvia and UAE-based renewable energy company Masdar have signed a partnership agreement to explore hydrogen production and supply at key locations to facilitate clean flight operations.

Set to initially focus on projects in North America and Europe, the companies have said they will look at the opportunity to establish hydrogen-powered flight operations in the UAE.

Masdar is targeting the production one million tonnes of green hydrogen per year by 2030 and has said the partnership with ZeroAvia is “likely to power the world’s first hydrogen-powered commercial flights.”
