H2X Global begins pre-IPO capital raise to accelerate the rollout of its hydrogen-powered vehicle

H2X Global has started a pre-IPO capital raise as it looks to fund the rollout of its popular hydrogen-powered Warrego Ute vehicle with a likely listing on a global public exchange next year.

Unveiled today (Oct 5), this will help support the company at the forefront of the clean energy mobility sector as the group targets becoming a world premium hydrogen vehicle manufacturer.

Sales of H2X’s new hydrogen fuel cell vehicle surpass $50m in four days

Popularity for the Warrego Ute soared when announced with the group raking in A$50m ($37.2m) in order requests in the first four days.

The Warrego features a 200KW motor system, 66KW and optional 90KW fuel cell systems in addition to a 60KW to 100KW output Energy Storage Systems between battery and super capacitor units.

Another standout feature of the hydrogen vehicle is that has a 500km driving range whilst boasting a refuelling time of between three to five minutes.

The Warrego Ute also utilises the unique H2X hybrid fuel cell system which allows the vehicle to run on pure hydrogen which drastically reduces refuelling times and increases driving range and hydrogen efficiency.

Brendan Norman, CEO of H2X Global, said, “One of our city focused vehicles will have a different Hybrid battery solution to a city vehicle, where we are working with more dynamic technologies to maximise retention of Kinetic Energy, which is our speciality to improve efficiency of the vehicles.

“H2X works with hydrogen infrastructure providers and forward-thinking industries to establish ecosystems which are cost effective from the start, where we look to offer multiple applications of vehicles to make it easy to reach a critical mass in one location.”

US DOE, General Motors, Microsoft and Plug Power

What does the US Department of Energy (DOE), General Motors, Microsoft and Plug Power have in common? They’re all speaking at H2 View’s North American Virtual Hydrogen Event in October. Will you be joining us on October 19?

North America is in a prime position to lead efforts in decarbonisation, but it still has great distances to travel. The region has been giving chase in a race to green hydrogen dominated by Europe and Asia-Pacific. If policymakers and industry can work together and take the right steps to realise a hydrogen vision, the region is perfectly placed to expand its global energy leadership at scale and speed.

What lessons can be learned from Europe’s policymakers? What are the challenges to be overcome? What are the strengths and opportunities? How can North America go from giving chase to taking a lead in hydrogen? These are all questions our virtual event will address across H2 View’s four pillars of Mobility, Power, Policy and Technology.
