National Grid to implement hydrogen blending project in New York, US, to heat 800 homes

Long Island, US, is set to be the location of a new project aiming to heat approximately 800 homes and fuel 10 municipal vehicles all through the use of hydrogen.

With the joint project HyGrid unveiled between the National Grid and the Town of Hempsted, it is hoped that the project could become one of the largest for clean hydrogen in the country and will accelerate the transition to clean energy.
